Often in our Current Praise page we
leave out people's names and the specific countries. This
is done so that we do not jeopardize the on-going work in
areas hostile to Christianity. Getting specific results
back from these places about the impact of the God’s
Story video can only be done by word of mouth when a
traveler can bring out the information.
Wonderfully, as more videos are going out, the praise
reports continue to mount.

FRENCH
Praise God. French is done and
going out now to many missionaries who have been waiting
for its completion. Some are using it to aid in producing
new languages versions of God's Story in Africa
and other are set to show it to Muslim immigrants from
French speaking nations.
QUECHUA
This translation is finished! Imagine,
8 million natives in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and
Argentina, who speak only Quechua, may now be able to see
and hear the Gospel for the first time. We are told while final arrangements are
being made to produce multiple copies, the one review
copy is in constant use by those fortunate enough to get
it.
GUATEMALA
A committed missionary
couple recently took on the job of translating the
K'anjobal language for the 125,000 Indian speaker in
Guatemala. They sent a newsletter to their supporters and
within six weeks the total amount for production came to
them.

A precious missionary couple which has
ministered in Guatemala for 47 years among the Chuj
speaking Indians has begun translation of God's Story.
They both express excitement about having tool to present
the whole Bible chronologically.
CENTRAL ASIA
An important language spoken by more than 8
million, largely Muslim people is nearly finished.
MIDDLE EAST
After four months of correspondence, meetings
and prayer, the translation process for a people group of
1.8 million, began this week. To date, there is one known
believer among these people.

SENEGAL
"My wife and I have been in Senegal
since 1981, seeking to get the Gospel out to the Muslim
community here.
"I just watched the English version of "God's
Story" and am very impressed. The producers have
done a superb job in bringing together the essentials of
the story and plan of salvation...and all in a little
more than one hour. What a powerful presentation of the
message of the prophets and the redemptive work of
Christ!
"In my opinion, this video has potential to make a
greater impact for the progress of the Gospel than any
other film in history (at least in the Muslim
context)!"
JAPANESE
"Our people are already using this video
widely to complement the Mission's evangelistic efforts.
We have found that it is an excellent video to show
before we show the 'Jesus' video. The reason being, that
it explains who Jesus is and why He came.
"Many in Japan see the Jesus video and think He was
a good man with good teachings like Buddha or Mohammed.
The fact that Jesus is the Son of the one and only God -
and they are one, is lost. 'God's Story' makes it clear
that Jesus was sent of God as part of a great redemptive
plan.
We pray that many would be impacted throughout the world
for the Gospel by God's Story.'"
ARABIC
This email came in from an Egyptian
man who ministers among Arabic speaking people in the
USA. With the help of a donor, he purchased 50 ministry
copies of God's Story in Arabic to freely
distribute.
He wrote:
"I just received several phone calls about God's
Story. It is the greatest ever. EXPLOSION!!!! One
tape traveled from home to home. Some announced, 'This is
the first production we've ever seen in Arabic.' Another
said, 'We need enough tapes to cover 15,000 Arabs living
in the El Cajon area alone.'
"One Muslim man asked for the Bible in Arabic to
read the story of God in detail.
"I've just gotten started and I am almost out of the
tapes I got from you! Please pray with us, I need more
tapes.
"Also, do you know anyone that could help us get a
master tape for overseas distribution? So little on the
Bible has been done In Arabic. The God's Story
video in Arabic would bless millions over there."
ENGLISH
Recently, at a general Christian
seminar being taught by the script writer of God's
Story, an attendee noticed a copy of God's Story
among the supplies in the speaker's briefcase. He grabbed
it and said, " I love this video. I'd been trying
for a long time to witness to my 12 year-old step-sister
and I bought this video hoping she would watch it with
me. She did, and afterwards she prayed, asking Jesus to
be her Savior. Now she walks around the house singing
praise songs!" He then asked the script writer,
"How did you happen to get a copy of this
video?"
SPANISH
Fifty copies of God's Story
have just been carried across the border into a Spanish
speaking nation that is hostile to Christianity.
MANDARIN
We now have Mandarin on VCD
format as well as on VHS tape. Surprisingly, almost all
videos viewed in China are seen using VCD's. Following
are just a few of the first reports getting back to us.
From Christians in China viewing Mandarin:
"This is the best tool in Mandarin for the Gospel we
have ever seen."
"The narration is very clear and the timing of
narration is superb!"
"It makes one understand the Bible more
clearly."
"It is a good eye-opener for new believers and
especially for unbelievers."

"It gave us a deeper insight about the Christian
God."
"We never realized as much that God had such a
marvelous plan for mankind until we saw this film!"
"It challenged me to take more
serious thoughts about God!"
ARABIC
We just heard from a missionary working
among Arabs. He showed the God’s Story video
to 20 Christian-Arab pastors. Their response. "We
only use the New Testament to teach our people because
the Old Testament is about Jews. But now, after seeing
this video, we understand why it is written that way. God
used the Jews to bring us Jesus. We will now use the Old
and New Testaments."
ENGLISH
Prisoners write: "I've been trying to
read the Bible only the last two days. I have many
questions and this video helped." County Jail,

"I feel the tape showed to me, and the other inmates, is the only rehabilitation this institution has demonstrated. It is totally inspirational." County Jail, Phoenix, AZ
MANDARIN
From a missionary working with Chinese
nationals who are temporary workers in a foreign country.
"After these workers come and hear the Gospel, we
give them a God’s Story video. We just got
requests for 700 more!"
RUSSIAN
Dr. Lindsay (whose earlier letter can be
read in the Premier
Edition of The God's Story Report) continues to tell us about the success of
the God's Story video in her prison outreach.
"My team can set up a TV in the hall between
the cells and everyone watches the showing. The God
Story video continues to bring prisoners to the Lord.
It won't surprise me if we see millions in heaven that
came to know Jesus through the video." She also told
us, “Some of our workers are using the video in
children’s summer camps in Belarus."
